Domaine de Coste Chaude, La Source d’Elie, Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan 2020

The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose offers pronounced notes of roasted aromatic herbs, a touch of grilled meat and bright floral notes of violets, dried rose and blueberry. There are also sweet spices (white pepper, liquorice, cinnamon) and peppermint. The fruity bouquet is concentrated and ripe, with notes of juicy black and red fruits (morello cherry, blackberry, black plum, red cherry, crushed strawberry, wild strawberry). On the palate, we find the juiciness of fruit (red cherry, morello cherry, strawberry, red plum, blackcurrant), an elegant spicy side (white pepper, cinnamon, liquorice) and a refined tannic structure with silky tannins. Good length on the palate, with good acidity and hints of tart black fruit on the finish. An expressive and gourmand wine.
