Domaine de Chevalier 2020 – Pessac-Léognan

Nice elegant nose, racy and which offers richness in control, precision, some straightness as well as a certain power and opulence but without exuberance / all in control. It reveals notes of wild strawberries, wild blackberries and spices associated with touches of warm pine needle, lily as well as fine hints of liquorice stick. The mouth is well-built, elegant, precise and offers accuracy, a nice stretchiness, a beautiful finesse, a tangy frame, gourmandise, a certain density in accuracy as well as a nice lightness in its grain. On the palate, this wine expresses nice notes of juicy/fresh cherry, bright raspberry and slight notes of cornflower associated with touches of iris, fresh bread needles as well as hints of liquorice stick, flowers of plum tree / fresh plum and discreet hints of star anise.
