Domaine de Carbonnieu 2013 – Sauternes 

The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers a fine intensity. It reveals notes of physalis, yellow peach and small notes of candied citrus associated with a hint of kumquat, botrytis, almond as well as a subtle hint of spice and an imperceptible hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, straight and offers a nice mineral frame, a fine acidity (in the background), elegance, a fine richness, racy minerality, a good definition as well as a small incisive side. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crystallized lemon, candied physalis and small peach in syrup, quince / kumquat associated with a hint of verbena / tea as well as a subtle hint of beeswax. Good length.
