Domaine de Cambes 2024 – Côtes de Bourg

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a certain brilliance, brightness, aromatic depth, a fine creaminess in elegance as well as a lovely finesse and brilliance of fruit. There are notes of pulpy wild cassis, cornflower and small notes of wild strawberry, associated with touches of violet, small bright wild red fruits, hints of nutmeg, Sichuan pepper, as well as a subtle hint of tobacco, toasted hazelnut and camphor. The palate is well-built, fruity, juicy, supple, it offers freshness and balance, elegance and precision. It also presents a beautiful roundness of fruit , with a fine, almost solar character in the fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, raspberry and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of bigarreau cherry, almost roasted-fresh, as well as hints of tonka bean, tobacco, bergamot, a hint of camphor and cocoa nib. Good length. A precise wine. The tannins are suave and tasty. A subtle, almost sappy hint in the background. Good persistence.
