The nose is aromatic, fresh, racy (terroir/clay) and slightly powerful. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, fresh cassis and slight notes of ripe/fresh wild strawberry associated with a subtle hint of black cherry, plum peel, a hint of clay as well as slight toasted notes, sweet spices, coffee, almond and a slight hint of grilled bread and woody notes. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, racy (terroir/clay) and offers a beautiful freshness, a beautiful fat, a nice expression, a beautiful gourmandise as well as a slight dynamism. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fresh redcurrant, fresh raspberry and slight notes of ripe cassis associated with hints of blackberry, toasted oak as well as a very discreet hint of flowers (in the background). Tannins are fine and very slightly chewy. Good aromatic persistence with, in particular, a small note of almond as well as a very discreet hint of caramel.
