Domaine de Brosses, Révélation 2022 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers bright tangy fruits, which are complemented by a delicate spiciness. It expresses notes of licorice, nutmeg, white pepper, as well as dried rose, peony and violet, wrapped in a juicy and fresh fruity material (morello cherry, red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, blackcurrant, candied cranberries). There is also a slight herbaceous hint, which brings complexity to the bouquet (dried mint and fresh tea leaf in the background). The palate is tight, tannic and tangy. It expresses notes of red cherry, tangy raspberry, crunchy strawberry, cranberries and blackcurrant, combined with a spicy touch (licorice, white pepper, nutmeg), a chiseled herbaceous hint (blackcurrant leaf, pine needles), a hint of violet and a good bitterness. The finish is savory, juicy and fruity, with salivating acidity, fine and slightly grippy tannins, as well as a tannic and slightly bitter hint of bird cherry.
