The wine has a ruby colour of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic, of medium (+) intensity, fruity and spicy. It reveals juicy notes of ripe red fruits (red cherry, raspberry, crushed strawberry) as well as tangy notes of black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry). The spicy notes are expressive but integrated, there are peppery touches (green pepper), hints of liquorice, and clove as well as more discreet notes of cinnamon and vanilla. The nose also expresses fresh notes of aromatic herbs (rosemary, bay leaf) and a very light touch of leather and minerality. On the palate, the attack is juicy, the tannic structure is precise, the tannins have a medium (+) level and a fine grain. The flavours are expressive and ripe. The wine reveals notes of red cherry, red currant, and strawberry, as well as the freshness of blackcurrant, mint, and aromatic herbs (rosemary), as well as a pleasant bitterness of cocoa and dark chocolate. There is also some spiciness of black pepper and liquorice. Nice acidity (medium (+) level), which refreshes the concentration and fullness of the wine and its body from a medium (+) level. Nice length and persistence on the palate, on fruits and sweet spices. A complex, ample but balanced wine.
