The nose is fruity, tightly wound and offers power, juiciness, vibrancy, spiciness and some concentration in its power and finesse. There are notes of bright red berries, cooked Bigarreau cherry and more slightly crushed blackcurrant combined with hints of local sage/bosquet, violet/flowers as well as fine peppercorns, black tea, a subtle hint of rosemary and a very discreet hint of liquorice. The palate is fruity, balanced, vibrant and reveals minerality, juiciness, juicy acidity, freshness, a nice energy and sapidity. On the palate, this wine expresses juicy/crunchy blackcurrant, ripe red berries and slightly tart/crisp black fruit notes with hints of flowers and a subtle hint of sage/rosemary, salinity/iodine and discreet roasted/toasted notes. The tannins are precise, firm, ripe and straightforward. Hints of dark chocolate on the finish.
