The wine has a deep ruby colour. The nose is a little discreet at first and requires aeration. It reveals notes of black plum, blackcurrant, morello cherry, kirsch, red currant, liquorice, toast, prunes, a slight note of smoked meat, cocoa, bay leaf and dried rose. In the mouth, the wine is tight, with firm tannins, drying on the finish, due to the youth of the wine. The flavors are reserved, young and fruity. The wine reveals notes of morello cherry, tangy red cherry, black plum, crushed cherry, aromatic herbs (thyme, bay leaf) and notes of balsamic cream in the background. The wine has medium body, crisp acidity and a bit dry finish.
