The wine shows a pale ruby purple colour. The nose is slightly restrained, needs aeration. It opens up with notes of crunchy red and black cherries, a hint of cranberries and pomegranate, nuances of black currant leaf and green bell pepper. The palate is juicy and intense, offering refreshing acidity, a certain greenness, very sticky, drying tannins and delicate, light texture. The wine is slightly muted on the palate as well, not offering a lot of flavours. What persists is the astringency of the tannins and overall herbaceous character. A touch of sour cherries in the aftertaste.
