Domaine Coudoulis – Evidence 2016 – Lirac

The nose is aromatic, intense, elegant, powerful and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of cassis and blackberry associated with small notes of wild berries, cherries, touches of crunchy strawberries as well as hints of olive, garrigue, laurel, spices and very discreet hints of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, round, precise, (very) slightly tight and offers a beautiful mineral frame, a beautiful juiciness, generosity, gourmandise, a small tension, a good structure, a beautiful definition, fat as well as suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe red berries, crunchy cherry and small notes of cassis associated with small touches of strawberry as well as slight hints of flowers / laurel, racy minerality, black olive, discreet hints of spices and a very discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. Tannins are fine, elegant and supple. Good length. There are a hint of almond, cocoa, a toasted hint and berries on the persistence.
