Domaine Collotte – Les Grasses têtes 2018 – Marsannay

The nose is fruity, racy and offers a small power as well as concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, pulpy blackberry, small notes of pulpy redcurrant associated with fine touches of violet, lilac, nutmeg as well as discreet hints of spices, pepper and an imperceptible hint of laurel (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, minerality, a juicy/acidulous fruit as well as a small fat, suavity and a fine straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, acidulous/juicy blackberry, small notes of crunchy raspberry associated with touches of juicy redcurrant as well as hints of violet, lilac, nutmeg, a very discreet hint of laurel and an imperceptible hint of tonka bean. Good length. Tannins are well-built.
