The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose offers notes of roasted and stewed fruits (roasted strawberry, roasted black plum, cherry compote), which are complemented by touches of fresh fruits (crushed strawberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, blackberry, red cherry in the background). Then we find notes of balsamic, Mediterranean herbs (dried thyme, dried bay leaf), violet, dried peony, associated with hints of toasted almond, smoke, nutmeg and a touch of balsamic. The palate is juicy, fruity and enveloping, with a roasted touch, but all in freshness. It expresses notes of morello cherry, black plum, blackcurrant and strawberry, combined with touches of balsamic, aromatic herbs in the background (dried thyme, dried rosemary, bay leaf), violet, dried peony, as well as a good bitterness of toasted almond and a fine smokiness. The tannins are firm, tasty and slightly grippy. The finish offers sapidity, a nice acidity and notes of tangy red fruits. Good persistence with a hint of bitterness.
