The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers a certain concentration, a savoury spiciness, as well as a smoky and meaty touch. After aeration, we can perceive notes of aromatic herbs (roasted bouquet garni, dried mint), clove and liquorice, combined with fruity notes of raspberry, strawberry, cranberries, red plum and redcurrant, and with a floral touch of lily in the background. The palate offers juiciness, freshness and a certain concentration. It expresses notes of bigarreau cherry, raspberry, red plum, strawberry, combined with a touch of fresh rose, a delicate spiciness (liquorice, nutmeg, clove), a herbaceous hint of blackcurrant leaf, as well as a very slight touch of hazelnut in the background. The tannins are well structured and have a fine grain. Beautiful salivating acidity, a good bitterness on the rather persistent finish. A refined, fresh and juicy wine.
