The nose is elegant, gourmand and offers intensity as well as complexity. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, small blue fruits, small notes of cornflower, violet associated with touches of small ripe red berries, rose wood as well as discreet hints of racy minerality, caramelization, subtle hints of nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of pink pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, a fine tension, freshness, small fat as well as gourmandize/generosity, a certain straightness and a small franc side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy cherry, pulpy cassis, small notes of small blue fruits associated with touches of cornflower, rose as well as subtle hints of liquorice, caramelization and a very discreet hint of mild tobacco (in the background). Good length. A hint of toasted almond on the finish/persistence.
