The nose is elegant, beautifully built, beautifully racy and offers a very beautiful finesse of the grain, a fine richness as well as a fine racy minerality. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry and fresh/crunchy wild strawberry associated with touches of gray pepper, crunchy cherry as well as hints of Sichuan pepper and a very discreet hint of tobacco. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced, well-built and offers a beautiful suavity, a beautiful definition/dimension, a good structure, a mineral frame as well as a ripe and acidulous fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/acidulous red cherry, crunchy red berries and small notes of fleshy/juicy Quetsche plum associated with touches of violet, peony as well as a very discreet hint of zan, chocolate, toasted/caramelization (in the background) and Ceylan tea. Tannins are fine and elegant.
