Domaine CapMartin – Cuvée du Couvent 2016 – Madiran

The nose is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers concentration as well as a certain finesse. It reveals notes of wild black berries and wild cassis associated with small notes of liquorice, wild berries as well as discreet hints of gray pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, juicy and offers a good definition, juiciness, a small suavity, tension, a fine fluidityas well as a fine concentration/straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/crunchy cassis, crunchy wild black berries associated with small touches of blackberry, zan, flowers as well as discreet hints of toasted, mocha and an imperceptible hint of Cuben pepper (in the background). Tannins are fine, elegant, well-built and structuring. Good length.
