The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose offers fine roasted and spicy aromas, which are expressed in the notes of toasted hazelnut (in the background), roasted red cherry and roasted bouquet garni (thyme, bay leaf, rosemary), associated with notes of liquorice, cloves and white pepper, as well as a fine floral bouquet (peony, cornflower) and juicy fruits (red cherry, crushed raspberry, wild blackberry, red currant, cranberries). On the palate, the wine is chiselled, fresh and airy, with a salivating tangy structure and fine, but structured and slightly grippy tannins. It expresses the flavors of bigarreau cherry, crushed raspberry, tangy strawberry, crushed blackcurrant, cranberries and red currants, combined with notes of liquorice, cloves, blackcurrant bud (in the background), bay leaf and roasted thyme, as well as a floral touch of peony and cornflower. The finish is tight, tangy and lively, with salivating acidity and good bitterness, which balances the slightly drying side of the tannins.
