The wine has a pale ruby colour. The nose is aromatic and expressive. The first nose offers savoury notes of smoked meat and spices (white pepper, nutmeg), after aeration – ripe aromas of red (strawberry, raspberry, Bigarreau cherry) and black fruits (Morello cherry, blueberry) with a subtle touch of liquorice, crushed mint leaf and fresh flowers (lily, blueberry and a very delicate note of violet). On the palate, the wine offers an airy, acidic and fruity side. It expresses notes of raspberry, strawberry, tart red cherry, blueberry, red currant and a slight spicy (white pepper) and savoury (smoked meat in the background) touch with a good bitterness on the finish. The tannins are slightly grippy, but quite delicate and not drying. The finish is taut, with a lively acidity and tangy red fruits and a peppery, minty note in the background.
