The wine has a pale ruby colour. The nose is aromatic, spicy and savoury at first. It expresses notes of roasted herbs (thyme, rosemary), roasted meat, white pepper and nutmeg in the background, as well as a fine toasted touch. There are also notes of ripe red and black fruits (red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, cranberry, a hint of blackcurrant and raspberry coulis), as well as peppermint and liquorice. On the palate, the wine has concentration, juicy fruit, a noticeable but integrated spiciness, and a fine but well-built tannic structure. The aromatic notes are ripe and expressive. Strawberry, red cherry, Morello cherry, raspberry (fresh and in coulis), blueberry and cranberry. The finish is quite persistent, savoury and spicy, with notes of roasted herbs, a touch of smoked meat in the background and a juicy fruity bouquet. The acidity is fresh and balanced with the wine’s fruity bouquet.
