Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils – Les Cailles 2017 – Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru

The nose is fruity, fresh, intense and offers a beautiful well-mastered power as well as a beautiful power/finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, crunchy small currants and small notes of pepper associated with touches of redcurrant, mulberry tree as well fine grilled hints, racy minerality and a subtle hint of nutmeg. The mouth is fruity, well balances and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, gourmandize, a good definition, finesse, minerality, a discreet aerial side, suavity in fineness, a beautiful delicacy as well as a certain power of the structure. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, acidulous/juiciness redcurrant and small notes of crunchy raspberry associated with touches of cassis, a fine hint of pulpy/fresh cherry, violet, lily, pepper as well as a discreet toasted hint and cacao. Tannins are precis, silky, well developed and delicate. Good length.
