The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is fragrant and gourmand. It first expresses smoky, slightly meaty notes, which then combine with notes of roasted red cherry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, fresh raspberry, crushed blueberry, a hint of blackcurrant jam, as well as notes of wild mint, rosemary, spices (licorice, ground cumin, clove), a fine floral bouquet (cornflower, lily, peony, a hint of violet), as well as a hint of roasting (toasted hazelnut, mild coffee) and cocoa. The palate is enveloping, gourmand, but fresh and straight. It expresses notes of juicy morello cherry, roasted red cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, redcurrant jelly and crushed blueberry, combined with notes of white pepper, licorice (with a fine star anise side), ground cumin, cloves and a refined floral bouquet (violet, cornflower, peony). The finish is persistent, warm and gourmand, with powdery notes of cocoa. The tannins are sapid and mellow.
