Beautiful ruby red color. The first nose is fresh, fruity, and aromatic with notes of small wild strawberry and light leather. The second nose opens with more fruit but also a hint of violet and racy minerality. It’s lovely. The palate is fresh, round on the attack, and aromatically powerful. There is nutmeg, violet, but also juicy purple plum and crunchy small wild strawberry. The acidity is measured. The tannins are supple, leading to a finish with notes of peony and white pepper. Beautiful complexity, easy to drink, and refined in its power.
