Domaine Bertrand, Les Petits Bois 2022 – Moulin-à-Vent

(organic) The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. On the nose, it is reserved and benefits from aeration. It then expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, wild blackberry, raspberry coulis and blackcurrant, associated with a touch of black plum, mint chocolate, as well as with a delicate spiciness (liquorice, vanilla in the background), notes of toast and dried blueberry. The palate is full, silky and sapid. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, wild blackberry, crushed blueberry, raspberry coulis, combined with touches of sweet spices (liquorice, white pepper, vanilla in the background), toasted hazelnut and dried rose. The tannins are finely tight and well structured. The finish is persistent, gourmand and chocolatey, with a subtle bitterness, a peppery touch and a nice acidity.
