The wine has a deep ruby colour, with purple hints. The aromas are expressive, pure and juicy: there are notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, sour cherry, elderberry, blackcurrant leaf, mint and licorice. On the palate, the wine is ample, and voluminous, but fresh, well structured and elegant. There are juicy flavors of fresh red cherry, sour cherry, red plum, strawberry and red currant. Good length, with the juissiness of red fruits in the beginning, and a spicy hint of black pepper, liquorice, cinnamon and fresh thyme on the finish. The tannins are well structured, and quite powerful, but refined and silky. A very pleasant note of tart cherry on the finish and a nice refreshing acidity.
