Domaine Benoit Homs 2023 – Montamo – IGP Pays Cathare

The nose is fruity, complex, elegant, deep and offers velvety as well as a precise, fine and taut grain. It reveals notes of violet, wild blackcurrant and small notes of nutmeg, spices associated with touches of pepper, cornflower, hints of roasted-elegant red berries, tobacco as well as a fine almost cornflowers hint and vanilla. The palate is nicely built, supple, elegant, airy, gourmand, delicate and offers fat, creaminess full of precision/finesse as well as a tangy frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of concentrated blackberry, crushed small blue fruits and crushed red berries associated with touches of cornflower, balsamic as well as a hint of blond tobacco, black olive and vanilla. A subtle hint of almost thyme in the background. Good length. A hint of iodine on the finish/persistence.
