Domaine Benoit Homs 2023 – Amassa Pinot Noir – IGP Pays Cathare

The wine benefits from being decanted. The nose is velvety, airy and offers a nice little textured side as well as a certain little tension. There are notes of violet, blackberry and small notes of lavender associated with touches of wild strawberry, nutmeg as well as an almost tobacco and undergrowth hint. The palate is beautifully fresh, mineral and offers concentration, gourmandize, a tangy frame as well as brilliance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright redcurrants, concentrated cherry and small notes of fresh/bright purple plum associated with touches of infusion, bright blueberry, vanilla as well as a subtle almost balsamic hint (in the background) and chocolate. Tannins are sapid, gourmand and mellow. Beautiful purity and brilliance of the fruit.
