Domaine Baud Génération 9 – 2013 Château-Chalon

The nose is fruity, racy and offers deepness, elegance, a small power, freshness as well as a certain aromatic purity. It reveals notes of lemon, quince and small notes of crunchy / juicy nectarine associated with small touches of fleshy yellow apple, fine hints of mandarin blossoms, dried zest of mandarin, racy minerality, pepper as well as an imperceptible hint of curry and nutmeg. The palate is elegant, mineral, beautifully defined, slightly silky and offers a small crystalline side, gourmandize, a small suavity, dynamism as well as a acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / acidulous lemon, acidulous quince and small notes of fleshy / juicy / acidulous apple associated with small touches of pineapple, racy minerality, with fine hints of tangerine zest, flowers of lemon tree as well as very slight hints of fresh hazelnut, sweet spices and a very discreet hint of fresh straw / hay on the finish. Gourmandize on the finish. A fine sapidity on the finish / persistence.
