The wine has a fairly intense ruby color. The nose is reserved at first and requires aeration. It then offers concentration, juiciness and fleshy fruity aromas: morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, wild strawberry, quetsche plum, wild blackberry. We also find a fine minty side, notes of smoke, vanilla, licorice, a touch of bitter cocoa as well as fresh flowers (lily, rose, violet). On the palate, the wine offers a firm structure, as well as ripe fruity substance. It expresses notes of juicy morello cherry, red cherry jam, wild strawberry, a touch of blackcurrant and blueberry, as well as spices (licorice, vanilla, clove), a smoky and floral touch (cornflower, lily). The mid-palate is enveloping, supported by firm, slightly grippy tannins and salivating acidity. The finish is persistent, tannic and fruity.
