Dom Brial – Grande Réserve 1959 – Rivesaltes

Dom Brial – Grande Réserve 1959 – Rivesaltes

(Bottled in 2013) The nose is fruity, fresh, aromatic, framed/straight and offers structure. It reveals notes of date, tobacco box and small notes of dried violet associated with touches of fresh rancio, fresh gray pepper, dried leaf as well as a hint of almond biscuit. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, precision, a nice freshness, acidity as well as energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of dried apricot, dried fig and small notes of candied orangette associated with touches of rancio, small dried fruits/dry cake as well as touches of fresh walnut and an imperceptible floral/chlorophyll hint. Beautiful persistence.
