Dogliotti 2020 – Nizza

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers a beautiful aromatic expression, concentration and complexity. The first nose expresses notes of roasted herbs (roasted thyme, roasted rosemary), associated with a hint of bay leaf, juniper and peppermint. After aeration, menthol aromas develops and is complemented by notes of liquorice, pine needles and menthol. We also find notes of ripe fresh fruits (morello cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, black plum, blueberry, red cherry), gourmet touches of chocolate cherry, mint chocolate, toasted hazelnut (even caramelized hazelnut) and vanilla, as well as a pleasant lactic touch of cherry yogurt and a resinous hint of pine sap in the background. The palate is straight, chiseled and fresh, with hints of tangy fruits substance and pleasant notes of fresh herbs (fresh Mediterranean herbs – thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, mint). We also find the flavors of tart red cherry, fresh blackcurrant, blueberry, black plum, morello cherry and black plum, associated with spicy and menthol notes (liquorice, cumin, pine needles, sap in the background), toasted hazelnut and mint chocolate on the finish. Beautiful salivating acidity, the tannins are well structured, slightly grainy, but enveloped and not dry. Good length, accuracy and freshness. The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity.
