The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is aromatic and complex: we find savoury notes of sweet spices (nutmeg, a touch of white pepper, liquorice in the background, cumin) and roasted and dried herbs (roasted thyme, dried bay leaf, dried mint), a fine floral bouquet (peony, wilted rose, lily), a touch of torrefaction (toasted hazelnut) and a hint of bitter almond in the background, as well as very light tertiary notes (dried tobacco, undergrowth). We also find aromas of fresh and dried fruits: dried red cherry, fresh red cherry, blueberry, raspberry, crushed red currants, red plum, which bring freshness and gourmandise. The palate is airy, juicy and savoury, with structured, powdery, fine-grained tannins and lively acidity. It expresses the flavors of dried strawberry, fresh red cherry, roasted red cherry, crushed raspberry, blueberry and red plum, combined with notes of fresh tobacco, peppermint, roasted thyme and bay leaf, as well aswith pronounced spicy, but enveloped notes (licorice, cumin, cardamom), and delicate tertiary (undergrowth, wilted rose) and floral (dried peony, lily) hints. The finish is persistent, finely spicy and chocolatey.
