The nose is fruity with a certain floral side. It reveals notes of bright boysenberry, redcurrant and small notes of fresh violet, associated with a touch of lilac, licorice stick and a subtle note of smoke and sweet spices. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity and balanced, with an tangy frame, brilliance, pulpiness and a lovely mellowness on the palate, pulpy/juicy. It expresses notes of brilliant raspberry, cherry and small notes of cornflower, associated with touches of crushed cassis as well as hints of star anise, blond tobacco and a subtle, almost camphor-like hint in the background. Tannins are discreetly marked, which is a pity. A subtle varietal hint in the background, with roundness and suavity.
