The wine has a pale ruby color with slight garnet reflections. The nose is fruity and offers a certain tension and concentration. It expresses notes of juicy fresh fruits (crushed raspberry, red cherry, a hint of red plum and morello cherry), associated with notes of dried fruits (dried cherry, dried cranberries), pine needles in the background, as well as sweet spices (licorice, star anise in the background, a hint of nutmeg), tar in the background, flowers (dried rose, a hint of violet) and roasting (a hint of cocoa nibs and toasted almond). The palate is savoury, with an expressive, fruity and spicy attack. It expresses notes of dried red cherry, crushed strawberry, fresh raspberry, cranberries and fresh red cherry, combined with notes of cardamom, liquorice and white pepper, as well as dried pine needles in the background, with a hint of tar and flowers (faded rose, faded peony). Tannins are fine, but grippy, even slightly dry. The finish is quite persistent and expresses a salivating acidity and a tangy fruity material with a touch of tar in the background.
