The nose is aromatic and offers a slight elegance and concentration. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, fleshy strawberry and slight notes of cassis associated with subtle touches of undergrowth, nutmeg as well as subtle hints of sweet spices and vanilla. After aeration it offers a slight hint of blueberry. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy, silky and offers a slight juiciness, a slight minerality, a slight acid frame, dynamism as well as a good freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry and juicy strawberry combined with slight touches of redcurrant, cherry, wood, sweet spices as well as subtle touches of mocha, vanilla and a subtle hint of nutmeg. Good length.
