Dartigalongue – Folle Blanche 2010 – Bas-Armagnac

(48%. Bottled : 06/2024) Beautiful and elegant nose, nicely precise/sharp and which offers power in delicacy, an incisive side as well as a certain freshness (in bottom). It reveals notes of Zante currants, zest, orangette and small notes of dried yellow peach associated with fine hints of dried apricot, fresh rancio, delicate hints of mandarin blossoms, spices as well as a subtle hint of fresh pepper and a very discreet almost peaty hint. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, suavity, a tangy structure, minerality, a small tension, a small roundness, mellowness, fat, complexity, a nice sapidity as well as beautiful definition, harmony and deepness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of Zante currants, candied yellow plum and small notes of white fruits in syrup associated with touches of dried zest, dried orange/marmalade, fine hints of pâtisseries, caramelization, toasted as well as a hint of smoke and peat. Beautiful gourmand and mellow character.
