Darioush – Chardonnay 2015 – Napa Valley

The nose is aromatic, fresh and offers a slight intensity. It reveals notes of fresh apple, pear and slight touches of quince combined with subtle hints of exotic fruits, minerality as well as slight notes of wood, vanilla and a very discreet hint of spices (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a beautiful acid frame, a slight suavity, a slight gourmandise as well as a slight depthness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe white peach, apple and slight touches of ripe citrus associated with hints of lime zest, discreet touches of exotic fruits as well as subtle touches of wood, vanilla and a very discreet hint of butter (in the background). Good length.
