The nose is fruity and offers a fine intensity. It reveals notes of concentrated cassis, violet/cornflower, small notes of small blue fruits associated with a touch of tonka bean, chamomile, toasted, sweet spices, nutmeg and a discreet hint of grilled hazelnut (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, a small juiciness as well as a fine freshness and a fine acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous blackberry, pulpy cassis, small notes of raspberry associated with small touches of dry blueberry, violet, rosemary as well as fine hints of chamomile, dry tobacco and a very discreet hint of cocoa. Tannins are finely marked. Good length. A subtle varietal bitterness on the finish/persistence.
