Dame de Boüard 2020 – Montagne Saint-Emilion 

On the nose, freshness with fine power, fine tension, and a fine grain. It reveals the notes of bright blackberry, cassis and more lightly small wild red fruits combined with hints of lily, fresh lilac, wild strawberry as well as fine the zan, graphite, grey pepper and discreet hints of hazelnut/mocha. On the palate it is fruity, a little tight and offers minerality, juiciness, fine tension, roundness as well as generosity, gourmandize, fat and a good tannic frame. On the palate, expressing notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, violet and more slightly violet plum associated with touches of cassis, wild strawberry as well as hints of lilac, violet, camphor, toasted and a subtle hint of hazelnut. Good length. The tannins are precise, structuring, well conducted and offer a certain suppleness.
