Croix de Labrie – Stella Solare 2020, Bordeaux Blanc

On the nose, fruity, nicely fresh, elegant and distinguished. It reveals notes of bursting/fresh vine peach, fleshy apple and slightly pink lychee combined with hints of tangerine/kumquat, zest as well as delicate hints of exotic fruit/quince, a subtle hint of elderflower and an imperceptible hint of rose. On the palate, fruity, elegant, greedy and offers a nice definition, unctuousness (in finesse), richness (nicely conducted/defined), a nice freshness, fatness and an airy character. The wine expresses notes of lychee, quenette and more lightly bursting vine peach combined with touches of elderflower, small touches of peach blossom, citrus/kumquat as well as hints of crushed apple, crushed nectarine, discrete hints of almond, a subtle hint of toastiness, a discrete hint of distinguished minerality and an almost iodine-like hint (in the background). Good length.
