The nose is fruity with a hint of spice and elegance. There are notes of juicy blackberry, bright raspberry and, to a lesser extent, crushed cherry, combined with hints of small berries, green pepper, as well as fine hints of lily, star anise, a discreet hint of sediment and tonka bean. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, good purity of fruit, dynamism, gourmandize, some density and concentration. On the palate this wine expresses morello cherry, bright blackcurrant and more lightly fresh/acidic redcurrant notes combined with hints of liquorice, cocoa/tonka bean as well as fine toastiness, toasted almond, a subtle hint of roast, blueberry, green pepper, a subtle vanilla edge. Fine mellowness, nice acidity on the finish/persistence.
