The wine shows a deep ruby colour with a touch of garnet. The nose is restrained, the wine will benefit from decanting. With aeration it reveals nuances of black cherries in liqueur, a touch of dark chocolate, kirsch and a balsamic note. The palate is dense, concentrated and juicy, demonstrating bold, grippy, chalky tannins, elevated acidity and good complexity. Notes of sweet spices and earthy notes support the fruit character. A savoury finish with nuances of green tomatoes and black olives, almost saline.
