The wine shows a deep ruby colour, slightly opaque. The nose is dense and heady, warming, offering spicy notes of cloves, cinnamon, a touch of earthy minerality, balsamic nuances, supported by notes of liqueur cherries and kirsch. The palate is juicy, concentrated, slightly jammy, opening up with notes of blueberry pie, blackberry jam, a hint of tobacco leaf, nuances of black pepper and chocolate. Very intense, ripe and powerful style. High alcohol is well-balanced by exuberant fruitiness and volume. Long, juicy finish.
