A lovely spicy nose that offers power, intensity and a fine, powerful grain. Fresh currant, pulpy cherry and more slightly clove notes are combined with hints of violet as well as fine pepper, incense and a discreet hint of local varietal/bush. The palate is nicely juicy, fresh, bright, gourmet, with some tension, sweetness, acidity, roundness and some fat. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/sour cherry, tart redcurrant and more slightly crunchy plum notes combined with hints of clove, fresh nutmeg as well as discreet hints of violet, vanilla and fresh blond tobacco. The tannins are supple and well-managed. Good length. Nice freshness.
