The nose is aromatic and offers complexity, a small richness, a fine freshness as well as a small stretchy side. It reveals notes of crushed Boysen berry, strawberry, small notes of juicy/ripe violet plum, fresh raspberry associated with very fine hints of raspberry leaf, sweet spices, cocoa, a discreet hint of cornflower, black tea and a very discreet hint of clove. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, a fine acidulous frame and juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed cassis, juicy/ripe small black berries, small notes of camphor associated with touches of crushed black plum, liquorice, zan, dry wild strawberry as well as very fine hints of toasted, cocoa, a discreet hint of pepper, underwood. Good length. Tannins are well-built and very discreetly powdered. Good persistence.
