The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color. The initial nose is roasted, savory, and toasted, with aromas of roasted bouquet garni, roasted red cherry, and roasted meat in the background, along with spices (grated nutmeg, liquorice), and roasted coriander seeds. Morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, strawberry, crushed raspberry, and dried mint, thyme, and lily, along with a smoky hint of bergamot, then emerge. The palate is fresh and tangy, opening with a tangy touch of blackcurrant and cranberry, along with red cherry and raspberry. Liquorice, cardamom, tonka bean in the background, and toasted notes, combined with notes of cocoa nibs, peppermint, and blackcurrant leaf in the background, then emerge. The tannins are firm, youthful, and dry on the attack. The finish is quite persistent and offers a mouth-watering acidity and a tannic, bitter hint of bird cherry and grapefruit. A tight, closed wine that still needs to evolve.
