Conterno Fantino – Ginestrino 2016, Nebbiolo – Langhe

The nose is fruity and offers a small spicy side and a small power. It reveals notes of black cherry, cassis and small notes of black berries associated with touches of wild pepper, a touch of violet, plum, very slight hints of sweet spices / nutmeg as well as an imperceptible hint of laurel and tea (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced, very slightly tight and offers a juicy / acidulous frame, tension, precision, a fine concentration / richness, verticality as well as a small freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, black plum and small notes of cassis associated with a fine touch of wild strawberry as well as hints of pepper, toasted / liquorice and very discreet hints of vanilla (in the background). Tannins are well-built and structuring. Good length. There are an imperceptible almost saline hint as well as very discreet hints of caramelization and dried almond on the persistence.
