The nose is fruity, beautifully fresh, precise, racy and reveals a fine power, a fine airiness in approach and velvety smoothness. There are notes of fresh/pulpy boysenberry, pulpy strawberry and more lightly violet combined with hints of salinity/iodine as well as fine hints of star anise, a discreet hint of liquorice/sap and pulpy red berries. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral and offers purity, tension, freshness/minerality, nice definition, digestibility/gourmand/finesse, classicism. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, blackcurrant and more lightly clove combined with hints of fresh peony/lys, fresh raspberry, juicy/fresh red berries as well as discreet sap, saline gravel, a subtle hint of toast/chocolate and an imperceptible touch of coconut. The tannins are supple and sapid. Good length.
