The nose reveals slight toasted notes, blackberry and undergrowth associated with slight notes of ripe cassis, strawberry and spices (gray pepper…). The palate is fruity, nicely juicy, well-balanced and offers a beautiful freshness, a good structure, tension and straightness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy raspberry and slight notes of cassis associated with discreet hints of redcurrant, chocolate as well as slight touches of toasted oak. Good length and persistence with a hint of bitter dark chocolate (pleasant!) and a hint of an almost salin minerality.
