The nose is aromatic, gourmand, racy and offers a small concentration as well as a very slight freshness. It reveals notes of cassis, black cherry and liquorice associated with small notes of boysenberry, local vegetation, hints of dark chocolate, licorice, caramelization as well as a subtle hint of Ceylon tea and Bourbon vanilla. The palate is mineral, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a slight acid frame, precision, suavity as well as a small fat. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, crushed cassis and small notes of ripe Boysenberry associated with small touches of crushed red fruits (redcurrants, strawberry), slight hints of dark chocolate, caramelization, Zan, coffee, tobacco, vanilla as well as discreet hints of black olive and almond on the finish. Tannins are very fine and very slightly dry. Good length.
